  • Asteroid 2006 VV2 passed very close to Earth on Mar. 31, 2007 and had a close (visual) encounter with asteroid Psyche
  • 2006 VV2 approached within only 0.023 AU (only 8.8 lunar distances or 3,44 million km) to earth!

  • According to NASA, 2006 VV2 was discovered by LINEAR on November 11, 2006
  • It's diameter is estimated between 1,5km and 3km
  • The Minor Planet Center classified 2006 VV2 as a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid
  • 2006 VV2: 10mag, distance 0.0236AU, solar distance 1.0187AU
  • (16) Psyche: 10.9mag, distance 2.36AU, solar distance 3.25AU
